National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has described as pretentious and bad leadership the decision by Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, to partake in a clean-up exercise in Kwahu during this year's Easter.

According to him, Nana Akufo-Addo is taking undue advantage of the Kwahu Easter Festival to stage the clean-up exercise in order to campaign; stressing the campaign strategy is weak.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Kofi Adams said Nana Akufo-Addo has adopted a strategy to use already crowded Ghanaians at a particular place because he cannot pull numbers wherever he goes and then campaign with few of his supporters amidst the crowd to presume to the unsuspecting Ghanaians that all have gathered in his name.

“Now it is a strategy Nana Akufo-Addo has adopted because he cannot pull crowd wherever he goes, he waits to take advantage on a gathered crowd on their own to campaign to them so that when the few supporters around make noise, then they capture as supporters of Nana Addo,” he asserted.

He added for instance that “if it is a church service, then he will go there and with the few of his supporters cheering up among the congregation, then they claim they are all supporters of Akufo-Addo...everybody knows that a lot of people go to Kwahu during Easter Festival and so his people will mix with the crowd and then claim they all support Nana Addo”.

He, however, described the strategy of the NPP’s Presidential Candidate as ‘weak’ to the extent that they cannot mobilise numbers to do any programme but to depend on occasion such as Easter festival to draw their programmes.

“They say Nana Addo is going to Kwahu to do clean-up exercise and others. Is it because it is an election year that is why he going to undertake the do clean-up exercise?” he quizzed.
