The Board Chairman of Political and Economic Research Institute Ghana (PERI-Ghana) Ghana, Mr. Williams Awuku Ahiadome has held President Nana Akufo-Addo responsible for the death of twenty students at the Kintampo Waterfalls in the Brong Ahafo region and other deaths recorded within the same period.

“It is so unfortunate that people will have to die at these waterfalls. Those who are suppose to be there are not there and it is not for nothing that we have someone as President”

“The President as Chief Executive Officer of the country cannot escape blame for all these deaths that occurred at the Kintampo Waterfalls and calamities that have befallen the country”

The Policy Analyst reviewing the President’s first hundred days in office starting 7th January 2017 on Kumasi-based Ultimate Fm said the government’s poor performance and ineptitude is evident to the extent that one need not be told.

According to Mr. Ahiadome, government in just three months has quite borrowed three billion dollars from “friends and paddies abroad” to stabilize the economy bequeathed it by the previous administration.

“The media is in bed and they do not even know that these are loans. …and in the days of [former] President Mahama they were loans and they would have multiplied by the exchange rate and say billions”

Paradoxically, he expressed happiness that government has now seen the importance of borrowing to stabilize the ailing economy.

The Policy Analyst attacked the implementation of free education scheduled to take off September this year giving credit to the past government for available facilities to kick start the project promised by the NPP in their 2016 campaign manifesto.
