A Deputy Minister of Information, James Agyenim Boateng, says the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has surrounded himself with drug dealers and parading them as special advisors.

According to him, until Nana Akufo-Addo severe ties with those elements, the presidency will forever elude him.

Mr. Agyenim Boateng said this when addressing the media on the sidelines of the manifesto launch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta region on Thursday.

“He has no moral right to accuse us (NDC) of corruption when he has surrounded himself with people with suspicious characters,” he said, asking where the NPP flag bearer was when thirty (30) Ghanaians were killed in Gambia.

He added: "Where was Nana Addo when diplomatic passports got missing in his office when he was the foreign affairs minister. Where was he when his party Chairman accused former President Kufuor of accepting bribes in his office? He has no moral right."

Against that background, the Deputy information minister urged Ghanaians to retain the NDC in power in the December elections to continue with its “Better Ghana Agenda” to improve the lives of the citizenry.
