Former Local Government Minister, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and former First Lady; Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings will on Easter Monday receive the Peristrofi World Honorary International award.
The ceremony which will take place at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is under the auspices of Sweden’s Institute for Pentecostal Studies.
This award is given to individuals who have distinguished themselves in their respective countries and have helped make positive changes.
For Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the leadership of the Peristrofi World Honorary Awards led by Dr. Divine Gabriel Brefo says, his role in the creation of the new constituencies and districts before the election without troubles was commendable and deserves applauds.
They are also happy about the several interventions introduced to mitigate the plight of the poor in society through the Local Government and Rural Development Minister.
On Monday management and governing council of Peristrofi World Honorary International Award will confer on Mr. Ofosu Ampofo the “Ambassador of Local Government Award”.
The governing council says they have seen sense of ingenuity and sense of humility in the minister for which reason they want to honor him.
The former Local Government Minister says he is feels humbled with the honor to be conferred on him.
He says this will urge him to go the extra mile.
Aside the former First Lady Mrs. Rawlings, other Ghanaians billed to be awarded on Monday include Hackman Owusus Agyemang, a former foreign minister, Very Reverend Dr. Emmanuel Kormla Gbordzoe, former Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church, Ghana.
