The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has described the late First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, as a woman of dignity whose legacy extended far beyond Ghana.

Speaking when he visited the family to condole with them and sign the book of condolence on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, he said Nana Konadu’s life was one of service, courage, and vision.

He added that her influence reached generations within and outside the country.

"Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was more than a mother, a woman of dreams and dignity. Her influence touched not only Ghana but the entire world. That is what happens with truly great people; their impact goes beyond borders and generations," he said.

The Speaker of Parliament was accompanied by some Members of Parliament and staff of the Parliamentary Service.

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.

The former First Lady was a leading advocate for women’s empowerment, child welfare, and social development.

She was 76 years old.
