Napo’s Chinese chair broken

Parliament Chair Broken

It is becoming increasing worrying that the ‘Chinese’ chairs now being used by Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Chamber continue to show signs defect.

At yesterday’s sitting, some members on the Minority side started making mockery of the ‘imported chairs’ when the ‘arm rest’ of the chair for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for (MP) Manhyia South, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, got completely broken.

The ‘arm support’ part was left lying on the seat while the MP for Manhyia South complained to the authorities for his chair to be replaced.

When the MP for Manhyia South was contacted on whether something strange happened to the chair for the ‘arm support’ to have suffered that fate, he said he came to the Chamber to meet the ‘arm rest’ completely broken.

“This is very embarrassing and I have asked them to change my chair,” he said.

Many MPs have expressed worry about the fact that the new chairs might not last long
