Ho, Dec. 31, GNA - The Rt Rev Francis Amenu, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, on Friday said the nation must remain focused as it went into the production of oil and gas in 2011. Rt. Rev. Amenu therefore appealed to leaders of the nation to keep to their mandate and ensure that every community benefited from the nation's natural resources. He said the country must count itself blessed with natural resources and prayed that those resources would unite the nation and 93enhance the spirit of oneness." Rt. Rev. Amenu called for brotherly cooperation and urged the youth t= o empower themselves and become responsible citizens instead of staying idle. He described the political situation in Cote d' Ivoire as very sad and expressed the hope that the situation would be resolved early for peace to prevail. He expressed joy that the populace was now appreciating the humility and leadership style of President John Atta Mills and said he was hopeful that 2011 will be 93action year" as the President stated and called on a= ll to be patient. "We all have the responsibility of ensuring peace and this we must do by exercising patience while government addresses issues concerning the educational and health sectors.
