The Pastor-In-Charge of Tema New Church says Ghana could prosper only when we follow order and truth in the administration of the country.

Reverend Ekow Essiedu Eshun says, “The first law in heaven is order and order comes from the Lord’s truth. So any nation which plays with order and truth will not prosper.”

He made this revelation on Tuesday during this year’s New Day Celebration at the church auditorium, Community Five, Tema.

He said corruption was rife in the nation because individual citizens did not imbibe in themselves the need to order their steps according to the truth of God’s work.

Rev. Eshun observed that the fight against corruption should be fought objectively without reducing it to partisan consideration, adding that ,“Everybody has cobwebs in their wardrobe and so we should change to make Ghana the nation we all dream of.”

According to him, the corruption was part of the mind-set “so if the mind is clean people won’t resort to corrupt practices and everything will be okay.”

He hinted that the significance of the New Church Day was for people to have their minds opened to know that there was more to the Holy Bible than the world had known before.

Observing why people could not do the right thing in society, Rev. Eshun said, “Sin first comes to our mind and the truth cleanses our mind so we could live a life for love to the Lord and our neighbours.”

Activities marking the day included public lecture, a float through some principal streets of Tema and drama and poetry recitals by pupils of The New Church School, Tema.
