The Paramount Chief of the Navrongo Traditional Area, P3 Denis Aniakwo Balinia Adda Asagpaare ll, has appealed to corporate entities, companies and individuals to take interest in the youth and help unearth talents in his area.
According to him, a lot of potential in Kasena/Nankana is wasting away due to the lack of resources to undertake initiatives that will help discover and polish such talents and gifts.
In a short speech read on his behalf at a closing ceremony to climax activities of this year’s HappyMan Bitters Inter-Community Soccer Competition (HAMISOC) held at the COS Park in Navrongo, P3 Asagpaare ll noted that the development process of the area rests largely on the shoulders of the youth and initiatives that will prepare them with expertise and skill, will be in the great interest of his people and welcome.
Citing some sport personalities and entertainers who are making huge sums of monies from their talents, the Chief said there was no right time than now for companies to do more in the discovering of people with innate talents amongst his subjects.
P3 Asagpaare ll who was happy with the significant progress of HAMISOC since its inception and the massive investments Charger Limited, Producers of HappyMan Bitters and Onaapo Atadwe Ginger Drink, is putting into some of the company’s initiatives that are geared towards the development of the youth in the area, called on other corporate bodies to emulate their leadership example.
“I’m particularly happy that the company is committed to the discovering of talents in this area through youth development initiatives such as what we are here for today. These talents can greatly help develop our community when given a push and not left to waste away”.
“It is, therefore, my hope that other companies and individuals will take interest in initiatives like this so that we can discover and develop more and more talents,” he stated.
On his part, P3 Asagpaare ll assured Charger Limited of the continuous support of his Traditional Council. He said the council was open to partner with companies and individuals who want to develop the youth.
P3 Asagpaare also advised the youth to embrace and actively participate in initiatives that seek to make them better persons.
“With these kinds of development oriented initiatives, I want to assure you of the support of the traditional council. We will always be ready to support anything of this kind and initiatives that will develop the youth of this town and help discover talents. I must add that the youth should also learn to embrace what will make them better and take part actively to develop themselves,” Joseph Weguri who spoke on behalf of the Chief stressed.
Chief Executive Officer of Charger Limited, Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, expressed his gratitude to all teams for their hard work and participation in this year’s games.
He said the company was poised to offer an even juicier package to teams in the next editions.
Saboro FC Are Champions Of HAMISOC 2018
After weeks of grueling contest involving 16 teams from Kasena/Nankana, Saboro FC became champions of this year’s edition of the Happyman Bitters Inter-Community Soccer Competition (HAMISOC) played on Saturday October 20.
They beat Nayagnia FC, another fierce competitor, in a score of 2:1, to become ultimate winners after a tough 60 minutes of play time in the finals.
For their winning prize, they took home an amount of GHC2,500.00 and souvenirs from Charger Limited. Nayagnia FC which took the second position went home with an amount of GHc1, 500.00 and souvenirs. Third position holders, Mission Warriors bagged an amount of GHc1, 000.00 as prize money.
The HappyMan Bitters Inter-Community Soccer Competition (HAMISOC) is an annual event that is in its third year. According to Media Relations and Communications Head of Charger Limited, Offei-Akoto Ayeh, It is intended to develop football talents, teams and promote unity through soccer.
