Nduom asks voters to compare his track record ...

...with those of his political rivals

Sunyani (B/A), March 2, GNA - Dr Kwesi Nduom, presidential candidate of the Convention People's Party (CPP) has asked Ghanaians to assess and compare his track record with those of Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party and former Vice President John Evans Atta Mills, candidate of the National Democratic Congress, before casting their votes in this year's elections. Dr Nduom, who was interacting with leading CPP members in Sunyani, said the December elections were crucial, hence the need for the electorate to make an informed decision based on track record of those seeking their votes.

"It is not only the strength and membership of a political party that governs the nation, but rather the competency, dedication and efficiency of a leader to rule a nation," he stressed.

He added: "I believe in competition as regard to what you have done and what I have also done and can do".

Dr Nduom said the CPP cherished community-based campaign in the areas of initiating ideas, debates and finding solutions to problems retarding national progress.

He urged CPP members to undertake massive electioneering campaign and explained the ideology and philosophy of the Party to woo more people towards an overwhelming victory in the elections.

Dr Nduom expressed concern about the current hardships facing the youth who formed the chunk of the country's population and pledged to ensure adequate jobs to help alleviate their plight, when given the mandate.

He earlier attended Mass at the Christ the King Church in Sunyani and appealed the congregation to support each other in all spheres of life.

Dr Nduom called on religious institutions to pray for peaceful elections to help sustain the prevailing tranquillity, as well as the national security needed for nation building.
