The Rise of the Fusionist and the Third Way Agenda for Ghana:

The advancement of any kind of society is only achieved through continuous and increasing inquisition into what once used to be the modus operandi – the only working framework – known to humans. Time on, society becomes sophisticated and highly aspirational that old knowledge form no longer satisfies our needs; it becomes obsolete and thus the need to be replaced by new ones. But in not time would the new knowledge form, just as its forebearer, eventually become obsolete and makes way for yet another knowledge form. In many instances the cycle of change stops at the recognition of the combination of the old and the new, a “hybrid” that tends to offer the most satisfaction. It is this hybrid that is known as the “fusion” or the “third way”, because of its status as the combined character of the good parts of both the old and the new order. Forward on, this knowledge form, “the third way or the fusion” does not occur by chance. Sometimes and in most cases, the hybrid is fiercely contested against by the forces that pledge allegiance to both the new and the old order explicitly or otherwise. But the fusion is championed by people of strong character; people who are ready to defy the odds and phase the future, no matter what it takes.

The “fusionist” and his “third way agenda” arguably is what has shaped and continues to shape the society today. He or she does not condemn the old order but questions its legitimacy as the only system to preserve the social good. As this happens, new knowledge forms revolve and are infused into existing ones. In this day and age in Ghana, the rise of the fusionist and third way agenda is necessary as an ever advancing society. I thus argue that Ghana having experienced the policies of NDC and the current capitalist exhibitions of the current administration, what the nation needs now is the fusionist, who can drive the economy with the market forces and amend the wounds of society that may be created by these forces through state intervention. And low and behold! that FUSIONIST is today born in Kumasi...at the CPP Congress…Nduom for the Nation; Ghanaian aspirations for us all
