Nduom picks Eva Lokko as PPP Vice Presidential Candidate

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has chosen former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Eva Lokko as the Vice Presidential Candidate for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP).

She will thus partner the flag bearer of the PPP, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom to contest in the December general elections.


The ceremony was held in Accra on Wednesday.


Ms. Eva Lokko has the distinction of being the first woman to head GBC. Ms. Lokko took over from Mr. Seth Ago Adjetey in September 2002.

Eva Lokko was an Assistant Broadcast Engineer and the Corporation's first female engineer in 1972.


When GBC made the transition to Colour Television transmission in 1985, she was the only female engineer on the team that went to Japan for training in the installation, operation and maintenance of Colour Television equipment.


She was part of the team that installed the colour television equipment that is still being used today.
