Accra, April 15, GNA - Net Impact Ghana has challenged young Ghanaian entrepreneurs to strive to be on top in the 21st Century through joint partnerships and other forms of capitals to compete with their counterparts in other countries.
This was contained in a statement issued by Net Impact Ghana in Accra on Friday to coincide with this year's World Entrepreneurship Day (WED) celebration, which falls on Friday, April 15. It was signed by its Executive Secretary, Ms Cleanse Tsonam Akpeloo. The statement said 93Net Impact Ghana recognises the exceptional achievements of young Ghanaian entrepreneurs and their efforts in creating jobs and contributing to the growth of the country's economy" and called on them to pool resources for increased results. "They are fueling our economy with their creativity, tireless work ethics, and risk-taking spirit," the statement noted. "We believe that entrepreneurs are the engine of job creation, generating millions of good jobs, but many begin with nothing more than a good idea, and translated new products and services into vibrant businesses," the statement noted.
It said efforts must be made to ensure that Ghanaian entrepreneurs had the tools they needed to survive and thrive in order to secure the nation's future prosperity.
"In an era where issues of sustainability are being seriously considered in corporate boardrooms, we urge businesses to continue to imbibe sustainability issues and the values of corporate citizenship in their corporate agenda," the statement added. Net impact Ghana, therefore, appealed to the government to make it as a deliberate policy to promote indigenous entrepreneurs to a world class standard and most importantly minimise the constraints to youth employment in Ghana.
It pledged to continue to work closely with government, private sector, academia, media and other stakeholders to promote the private sector's role in ensuring sustainable socio-economic development.
