The young girl was visibly uncomfortable and distressed
Fury has erupted online over a disturbing video showing young male commercial motorcyclists, locally called 'okada' riders, sexually harassing a young girl believed to be a minor as she hawked avocados.
The incident, which took place in Manso in the Ashanti Region, has gone viral on social media.
In the video, one of the young men is seen grabbing the girl’s skirt, holding her around the breast area, and pulling her towards him while laughing.
A voice in the background can be heard urging him to kiss the minor.
The young girl, who appeared visibly uncomfortable and distressed, repeatedly tried to free herself from the young men as they continued to grab her waist and body in a clearly inappropriate and non-consensual manner.

Many netizens have expressed concern over the incident, with one user highlighting the wider societal problem:
“This is obviously inappropriate but the bigger issue is how many girls go through this or worse with no video evidence to back it up? For every lucky viral video that helps 1 girl get justice, hundreds more suffer in silence. So is the video more of a crime than the act itself?”
Another user questioned the mindset of the perpetrators and called for their immediate arrest:
“So how did they feel after making a video of this and posting it afterwards??? They wanted applause and appraisals from us?? These guys need to be arrested ASAP!! This is sexual abuse.”
Another user further linked the incident to the dangers of child labour:
“These are some of the issues of child labour. They can easily find themselves in situations where they can be taken advantage of. Very disgusting behaviour.”
Several other netizens have tagged the Ghana Police Service in the comment section of the video, urging the authorities to take swift and appropriate action against the individuals involved.

And that’s the biggest problem with our culture and how boys are socialized.

They must be arrested @GhPoliceService
If my tweet has triggered you, wherever you are, whether in Nigeria or Ghana- just keep your hands off minors.
Location does not matter, this happens everywhere where children are not safe because of men like this.
