Social media, particularly X users, have reacted to video footage of unidentified individuals who broke glasses of Hisense electronics showroom in Ashaiman, located directly across a police station on the night of May 21, 2026.

The brazen incident, which involved shattering glass doors and forcing entry, has raised serious questions about security lapses in the area.

The showroom is prominently located directly opposite the Ashaiman Police Station at the busy Traffic Light intersection.

Video shared by @askghmedia’s X account and widely circulating online shows the aftermath of damaged roller shutters, broken glass scattered across the ground, and a crowd of onlookers gathered in front of the modern grey building.

Initial reports suggested electronics may have been stolen, but authorities later confirmed that no appliances or valuables were taken or damaged.

It further noted that the cracks in the glass is reportedly linked to tensions from a recent demolition exercise in the area.

Some aggrieved traders, whose structures were affected, allegedly targeted the showroom, believing the owners were involved in the demolition.

Following this, several X users have expressed shock, questioning how such an incident could occur directly opposite a police station

"That’s how bad our security system is in Ghana. Let this make sense bro hmm," one user wrote.

Another user added, "I knew the security system in the country is in jeopardy aban foon aba."

This user sought to understand, "So all the officers on duty and the security men on duty at the showroom and the police station were all asleep and couldn't hear any sound of glasses being destroyed? Looks like an insider job.
