New Foundation To Be Launched For Kwahu Citizens Global

Kwahu Global Network (KGN) has been formed in Ghana and for the first time in history, will be launched in Accra on July 19, 2003 at the Teachers Hall & Mpraeso Community center on July 26, 2003. This is the first Ever such organization to be launched in Ghana and Abroad. Kwahu Global Network is a non-profit organization, dedicated to demonstrate the love of Christ by using the blessings, talents, gift and knowledge in building tomorrow future. It is registered in Ghana under the Department of Social Welfare and will soon be launched in the United States, Canada, Holland and United Kingdom. Since the government cannot to it all, a group of dedicated and committed Kwahu citizens both young and elders from different towns in the region have come together to build tomorrow’s future.

Kwahu Global Network was founded by its CEO, Mr. Emmanuel Ofori, President of the Pan-African Foundation who have for the past six years donated medical, dental and school supplies valued over four million dollars ($4,000,000.00) to 25 hospitals, clinics, schools, churches, orphanages, blind/deaf/disabled etc across Ghana. Mr. Ofori will be arriving in Ghana at the end of June to launch Kwahu Global Network. He has invited several dignitaries including Ambassadors and encouraged all Kwahu citizens and interest groups home and those visiting to join in this special Occasion. There will be a fund raising of 1-10 Billion Cedis Endowment Fund and the interest after five years will be used for projects in Kwahu and its Vicinity.

Mr. Ofori will be making another donation of medical, dental and school supplies, walkers, crutches, IV Stand, sewing machines, vitamins, cough and pain medicine, baby incubators, nutritional food, wheelchairs etc valued over Eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000.00) to 22 hospitals, clinics, several Institutions, orphanages, blind/deaf/disabled schools, churches including Korle-Bu, Abetifi, Ridge, Nsawam, Obo, Wa, Koforidua, Oda, Atibie, Ashanti Mampong, Labadi Polyclinic, Offinso, Bawku, Asankraguaa, Agogo, Ho, Adanwomase-Ashanti, Obom community, Tesano Baptist, Evangel, Good Shepard Methodist, Adabraka Presby church, All Nations church, Living Faith, Adabraka Rehab, Cape Coast, Legon and several others across Ghana.

He extend his great appreciation to the following Kwahu Citizens who have assisted in making this upcoming event a success, they include: Evangelist Jacob Ofosu, Mr. Richard Appiah, Mr. Ntiri Aboagye, Mrs. Charlotte Obeng, Mr. Atuobi Ntiri and Mr. Kwadwo Ofori Akoto as board members. The vision of Kwahu Global Network include:

  • Endowment Fund in Ghana, United States, Canada, United Kingdom & Holland
  • Equipped all Kwahu Community libraries with Computer learning centers by 2003
  • Equipped all 17 clinics and hospitals in Kwahu and its vicinity
  • Build the First Eye Clinic to serve Kwahu towns and vicinity
  • Open two Emergency Centers in Accra and Kwahu for disaster relief.
  • First Aid Kits for all Kwahu Elementary and higher Institutions
  • Footballs, Jerseys for all schools and support sport clubs
  • Create business center at Nkawkaw for job opportunities as Kwahu capital
  • Create more vocational and technical centers
  • Create Kwahu Community Bank for easy loan access
  • Agricultural (livestock)
  • Invite American businesses in 2004 to create job opportunities in areas as such Bauxite, Tourism, orange and pineapple processing, research on “Atadwe” etc
Due to emergencies and natural disasters as we hear and see these days. Kwahu Global Network will open an emergency relief centers in Accra and Kwahu in support of the communities. Bank Accounts have been setup in Columbus, Ohio and later in Canada, United Kingdom and Holland for those interested to make financial contributions. The Executive director asked all Kwahu Citizens, interest groups home and abroad including all Kwahu associations global to spread the word across and support. A website has been created and asked everyone to visit and email suggestions/ideas for the foundation belongs to all.

There will be monthly contribution of ($5.00) five dollars or more from Citizens and interest groups abroad all information with regard to contribution will be on the website. He sited an example of people who have done so much for their community and country such as Mr. Anim-Addo, Mr. Saka, Nana Wiafe, Mr. E. K Nyarko, Mr. Ofosu Amoako, Mr. Siaw, Mr. E. A. Addo and many other did not create an endowment fund for Kwahu as a whole. The program will benefit communities such as Abene, Abetifi, Atibie, Aduamoah, Akwasiho, Ankoma, Apradang, Asakraka, Asuboni Rails, Bepong, Bukuruwa, Danteng, Hweehwee, Jejeti, Kwahu-Tafo, Kwahu Praso, Mpraeso, Nkawkaw, Nkwatia, Nkyenenkyene, Nteso, Obo-Kwahu, Obomeng, Pepease, Twenedurase etc.

Mr. Ofori said he has received emails, letters and phone calls from several Kwahu Citizens and interest American groups in Twelve American States and eight Countries expressing interest and support. He urge those with access to computer to visit the website @ www.kwahuglobalnet.org for information. Kwahu Global Network will need committed and dedicated people to serve on the International board in United States, Canada, Holland and United Kingdom as committee members and those interested should communicate to the CEO. This is a great opportunity for not only Kwahu citizens but for the good of our beloved Country (Ghana). Kwahu Global Network will extend its services to other regions across Ghana in emergency cases.
