New Patriotic Party Regional Confab Opens

The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Mr.. Peter Ala Adjetey has called for total peace and unity within the rank and file of the party to enable it to wrestle power from the ruling NDC in the next general elections. He said as a human institution, the party iis bound to face problems and misunderstandings. However these should not be allowed to undermine the party's chances of winning power to salvage the country from collapse. Mr. Ala Adjetey was speaking at the Ashanti Regional delegates conference of the party in Kumasi today. He asked members to be mindful of their negative utterances which tend to bring division within the party. A leading member of the party and the Minority Chief Whip in Parliament, Mr.. S.K. Boafo urged the members to learn to settle their differences amicably. He said the leadership of the party in the region has put in place measures that will enable it win all the thirty-three constituencies in the next elections. Mr.. Boafo who is also the MP for Subin advised members to start campaigning now to ensure victory for the party. In and election supervised by the Electoral Commission, the Regional Chairman of the Party, Dr. Kwame Donkor Fordjuor was re-elected unopposed. The post of Vice Chairman went to Mr.. John Konadu. Mr.. K. Asante was Regional Secretary for the party. End
