NCOGA Presents ?THE MOTHER OF ALL PICNICS?

The National Council of Ghanaian Associations, (NCOGA) in conjunction with the national airline, Ghana Airways and Western Union present "the Mother of all Picnics" this year, on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Croton-On-Hudson Park in Westchester County. As anyone who has participated in this highly anticipated event in New York knows that; it is the largest gathering of Ghanaians anywhere in the world. It is a day filled with fun, food, matchmaking, socializing, raffles and catching up with old colleagues etc.

This year's celebration is going to be better than ever. It features prominent Hip-life star Nana Quame (of "Atea Donko" fame) as well as many other artistes, such as; up and coming Amamre, who has taken the Ghanaian community in New York by storm, There is also impressive Anuanom, who performed at the picnic in the past and also the don dada of Reggae from Ghana, Carlos (Raskalimo) and a surprise artist (watch this space)

Other activities planned for this year include the following;

1. The popular Ghanaian show; "Agoro" hosted by Kofi Dontoh and sponsored by Ghana Airways, celebrating their tenth anniversary of operations in North America.

2. A quiz show; where a winner stands the chance of winning a round trip air ticket to Ghana. Western Union would be planning all kinds of activities at the picnic.

3. Open microphone event for any Ghanaian interested in becoming the next "Ghanaian Idol". Please stop by at the BNP Productions booth and register.

4. The Ghanaian Nurses Association would have health expo for interested participants
