Professor Asenso-Okyere, the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the University of Ghana, has disclosed that plans are far advanced to construct new lecture halls to accommodate larger classes at the University.
Prof. Asenso-Okyere who was delivering his address at the matriculation of the University over the weekend said the University has also requested assistance from the GETFund, which according to him will aid in the construction of additional lecture theaters and laboratories.
The VC further pointed out that the University is liaising with the private sector to invest in residential accommodation on campus since government alone cannot provide these facilities.
