In a move aimed at fostering youth participation and innovation in the tourism sector, the 6th and 2024 Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit & Challenge, hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Namibia, has appointed Mr. Nicholas Bortey as an Adjudicator for the Africa Youth in Tourism Challenge 2024 - 2026.

Mr. Bortey, a seasoned technology, and innovation expert with a passion for youth development, expressed his excitement at being selected for this role. "I am honored to be part of this initiative that aims to harness the creativity and talent of young Africans in shaping the future of tourism on the Africa continent".

As an Adjudicator, Mr. Bortey will be responsible for evaluating project proposals submitted by young participants from across Africa. His expertise and experience in the technology and digital innovation industry are expected to bring valuable insights to the selection process, mentoring, evaluating, and providing valuable insights on the innovative projects presented by the participating youth, ensuring that the most promising and impactful ideas are chosen for support.

The Africa Youth in Tourism Challenge 2024 is a platform that encourages young people to think innovatively about the tourism sector and develop solutions that contribute to its growth and sustainability.
