Nii Lante Bannerman initiates extra-tuition classes for students

After months of rigirous free extra tuition session for SHS 2 students, the 27th of February, 2019 presented itself as an opportune time for Nii Lante Bannerman, affectionately called Nii Banner, the initiator of the programme and facilitators alike to bid farewell to students as they resume to school for the next academic term.

The program is under the auspices of The Bannerman Foundation and B20, an NGO and a political pressure group in the Ashiedu Keteke District.

The short sending off ceremony saw dignitaries such as Miss Jennifer Brooke ( In Charge of International Relations, A.M.A), Mr Desmond Owusu ( In Charge of Planning, A.M.A), some NPP Constituency Executives and other persons gracing the occasion.

In Nii Banner's address, he emphasized the need for the improvement of our educational standards as a topmost priority which ought not be downplayed.

"This has been the rationale behind for putting together such an initiative for Senior High School - SHS 2 students residing in the Odododiodioo Constituency".

He said children are future leaders of the nation and nothing must impede their education.

"I want to use this free extra tuition to occupy and disallow them from loitering around to engage in unnecessary ventures".

Nii Banner appealed to the students to take advantage of the extra tuition initiative and improve themselves academically. He also made a call for collective responsibility in support for the education of children.

The initiative covers both core and elective subjects.Thus, English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, Financial Accounting, Government Economics.

About 600 students have benefited from the initiative. The initiative will extend it's benevolence to SHS 1 students(Green & Gold track) who will be on vacation for 2 months.

He later distributed some learning materials to the student.

Section of the students who could not hide their joy after receiving books, pens and mathematical set where full of praise for Nii Banner for the gesture meted out to them and the benevolence of the facilitators who had diligently discharged their instructional periods judiciously during lesson delivery. They pledged to take their lessons seriously.
