The Dispatch says four people, including a Member of Parliament (MP), a former MP, an Assemblyman and an official of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), (names withheld) are likely to be charged in connection with last Friday's riots involving some youth at Nima.

Security sources said they have evidence of the various meetings held between them and the youth. They will be put before court by Monday, May 21.

The sources hinted that statements have been taken from some of them whilst two others, likely to be charged with the four, are said to be on the run.

In another development, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Ningo-Prampram, Mr Enoch Teye Mensah, was released last Monday afternoon on a 10 million cedis bail to report to the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) at 6:00 pm every day. Mr Mensah, who is also the Youth Organiser of the NDC, told the BBC in an interview that he was detained in a mosquito infested cell, where he slept on a student mattress for two days and was questioned in connection with the riots.
