Accra, May 31, GNA-Nii Nikoi Joseph, Acting Chief of Nkwantanang, a suburb of Madina near Accra, has called on the inhabitants to unite for the total development of the community and Ghana as a whole. He said unity played a very important role in the socio-economic development of every nation and that without it no nation would develop. Nii Joseph made the call at the inauguration of the Madina 'Point 5' Residents Association at Madina on Saturday. The Association has Mr Prince Adu as Chairman, Mr D.T. Okyere, Vice Chairman, Mr Ralph Dodoo, Secretary, Pastor Simon Agbeko, Organizing Secretary, Mr Sam Asare, Assistant Organizing Secretary, Madam Comfort Wright Financial Secretary and Mr Enoch Nti, Public Relations Officer. Nii Joseph Appealed to the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing to help solve the water problem being faced by the community.

Mr Boniface Abubakar Saddique, former Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, commended the community for forming the association and also charged them to unite and fight for a common goal. Mr Adu, chairman of the Association said the association has lined up a number of projects which would help the development of the community and called for support from all quarters to enable them to achieve their avowed aims.
