Assin Central Member of Parliament(MP), Kennedy Agyapong is not sure any Ghanaian Youth is willing to become an anti corruption crusader like he does by speaking up amidst insults.
According to him, to become like him, there are several sacrifices one has to make and he doesn’t see any of the youth willing to deny themselves of some form of happiness for the greater good of the country.
He mentioned confidence, wealth and the zeal to forgo some of lives most important things; a character trait he has not seen in any Ghanaian youth so far because everyone wants to live a rich life.
Kennedy Agyapong who was speaking on Accra-based Happy FM in an interview said: “I’m not sure there are people who will want to be anti corruption crusaders like me. If you want to be like me, you need to exude confidence, you also need to be wealthy such that you cannot be silenced with money. Yes, you need to be a wealthy person before you can do what I do”.
He recalled having to reject an offer of a hundred thousand dollars as a token from a businessman during his mother’s funeral because he felt that will be a way to gag him when the businessman has issues with any form of illegality.
On his future in politics, he said he will quit Parliament in 2024 so that others are also given the opportunity to serve the country.
