Accra, July, 29, GNA - Deliberations at the on-going mini-Summit to find a peaceful solution to the Ivorian crisis in Accra, was on Thursday night adjourned to Friday, July 30.

Sources close to the meeting told newsmen that some progress had been made with the exception of a few points that the African leaders attending the Summit had to ponder over.

Unconfirmed reports at the Summit, however, indicated that an issue that required further consultations on was for the parties in the Ivorian crisis to show the flexibility required to achieve a political compromise on Article 35 of the Ivorian Constitution regarding the criteria of eligibility to contest Presidential elections.

The Summit dubbed ACCRA III was to encourage all the parties to the conflict to implement fully the Linas-Marcoussis and ACCRA II Accords to facilitate the conduct of free, fair, credible and transparent elections in Cote d'Ivoire in October 2005.

Termed the "last chance", the Summit is a follow-up to the Mini-Summit held in Addis Ababa on July 6, during the Third Session of the African Union (AU).
