No government official will die from coronavirus - Duncan Williams

General Overseer of Action Chapel, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Willaims has made the declaration that no government officials would die from the deadly coronavirus.

Taking his turn to pray for the government machinery at the Breakfast Meeting held at the Jubilee House on Thursday, the man of God said “No one in government will be a victim to this virus. That no one in government will be a casualty.”

“That you shall preserve, protect and empower them with the necessary capabilities. That which is required of them to perform their duties for which you have made them a government under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo".

“May we all be here when this deadly virus disappears from the face of the earth to give you thanks and to celebrate your delivery power, your mercies and goodness that has abound to our government and the people of Ghana”.

President Akufo-Addo, in his address before the prayers, expressed confidence Ghana will defeat thee outbreak.

"I am confident that this morning’s prayer, which will be offered in faith, will heal our nation, and will help raise Ghana up. And, I believe profoundly that we, the Ghanaian people, with our faith in the Almighty, will overcome this challenge. This, too, will pass.”

According to him, "these are not ordinary times, Eminent Clergy, and in such times, a country whose population is predominantly Christian must seek the face of the One True God for healing and restoration. So, I, humbly, called you to this prayer meeting for us to join together and pray to Almighty God to protect our nation, heal this land and save us from this pandemic.”
