Dr. Lawrence Tetteh has been in the news recently since the death of the late dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns.

The renowned evangelist was the officiating minister of the funeral and burial ceremony of Ebony Reigns, and during his sermon, he made so many outbursts.

Among the many outbursts, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh said all the prophets prophesying deaths for celebrities will also die.

He noted that no human being will ever live forever, and so those “death prophets” will also die some day.

Dr. Lawrence Tetteh made this proclamation following reports by some men of God claiming to see in a vision that some celebrities are next to die after Ebony Reigns.

So far, Shatta Wale, Nkansah Lilwin, Akrobeto, and recently Stonebwoy, have all received death prophesies about the lives. And this has sent some sort of worry to many celebrities who are in constant fear of their lives.

For instance, Bukom Banku, popular comedian and boxer, has confessed in an interview recently that he is afraid to die, particularly in a lorry accident.

But Dr. Lawrence Tetteh believes that what should be feared is how one can gain salvation.

He said that what the celebrities need to do is to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling, rather than living in fear of those death prophesies.

“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, make God the driver of your life, and stop that nonsense that you are afraid to die.”

“Everyone will die, your mother, your father, will die. All those prophets prophesying death for you (celebrities) will all die,” an obviously unhappy Lawrence Tetteh said.

So far the "prophets" who have prophesized the death of popular musicians include Prophet E.K Mensah, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, Prophet Cosmos Walker Affran, Rev. Owusu Bempah, and others.

He has also been in the news for lamenting about the colour and design of Ebony’s casket. According to him, Ebony’s father changed the casket at the last minute without informing him even though he had earlier paid for a different one.
