The spokesperson of former President Rawlings has dismissed reports that Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings is persuading her husband from attending the NDC congress to be held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
According to Kofi Adams, nobody can dissuade the former President and founder of the party from attending NDC's congress.
Ex-President Rawlings is expected to address the Congress which would affirm President John Dramani Mahama as the flag bearer and leader of the party following the unfortunate death of President Mills.
General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, on Monday revealed that the former President will arrive at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium at 9:10 AM before the programme begins.
But Pollster Ben Ephson, told XYZ News on Wednesday that he had gathered information that the former First Lady is trying to prevent her husband from attending the congress.
However, speaking to XYZ News, Kofi Adams described the report as false and urged Ben Ephson to stop tarnishing the image of the former first lady.
He confirmed that Mr. Rawlings will be in Kumasi on Thursday to attend the NDC congress, adding that the former President will also address delegates at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
