Notorious Church thief arrested on New Year's Eve

Luck on New Year's Eve eloped 43-year old Kojo Annan who has gained notoriety in stealing from Churches within Accra and its enclaves after he was arrested after engaging in the act.

The suspect currently in police detention was arrested by the airport police when he was captured on CCTV cameras at Mary Mother of Good Counsel, Roman Catholic Church at Airport West Residential Area stealing.

According to the complainant, the suspect had earlier stolen a Samsung mobile phone belonging to a church member during morning mass as was captured on the CCTV footage.

During the 31st night mass, the suspect went there again and with the assistance of Airport Police Patrol Team he was arrested.

A search conducted in his room revealed one Gotta phone, iPad, several passports belonging to different people, iPhone, drivers license, several credit and ATM cards, ladies purse, three car keys and several business cards.

The suspect was whisked to the airport police station and detained and while the items believed to have been stolen were retained for identification by the general public.
