Agona Nsaba(C/R), May 7, GNA - Mr John Kwabena Kyereboa, an administrator of the Assin Fosu College of Education was on Wednesday installed as the new Paramount Chief of Agona Nsaba Traditional Area under the stool name Okatakyie Aseidu Boabea II.

Okatakyie Boabea II, succeeded his late Uncle, Nana Okeseku Afari Mintah, who died two and half years ago, thanked his people for the honour done him.

He said chiefs are installed to among other things help fight against poverty, diseases, hunger and other related issues which militate against the welfare of the people.

Okatakyie Boabea promised to work hand in hand with other traditional rulers and government functionaries in the Region to ensure unity and stability of the Nsaba Traditional Area.

He pointed out that without unity and peace there would be no meaningful development, saying that investors would not go to insecure areas to create jobs.

The Omanhene said the level of education in the Nsaba Traditional Area was not encouraging and therefore proposed setting up an educational endowment fund to support needy but brilliant pupils and students in the District.

He said the government alone cannot shoulder the educational responsibilities and urged people both resident at home and abroad to contribute their quota towards providing quality education. He called on the people of Agona Nsaba to come together as one body and offer communal labour to support development projects.
