The youth of Nungua, in the Greater Accra Region, has described the former Attorney-General (A-G) and Minister of Justice Nii Ayikoi Otoo as a mole in the midst of Ga-Dangbe people and must not be allowed to hold any leadership position within the Ga state.

The youth has, however, given him (Otoo) forty-eight hours to render an unqualified appology to the Ga -Dangbe community and especially th epeople of Nungua for the gross disrespect he had shown them in wake of the genocidal comments of Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) Member of Parliament for Assin North Constituency in the Central Region, who called on the Ashanties to maim all Ga-Dangbes and Ewes in the region.

According to them, should ex-minister fails to heed to their call, they shalll be left with no option other than consider him as an intruder and an enemy to the people of Nungua in particular and all Ga-Dangbes as a whole.

They posited that they would ensure that he does not come to canvass for votes in the Krowor Constituency for the 2012 parliamentary elections, because they cannot guarrantee his safety, looking at the levels of agitations from the youth.

Nii Ayikoi Otoo, who is the lead counsel for Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyepong in his terrorism trial, is also chairman of the Legal and Constitution committee of the NPP, as well as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the area.

The HERALD’s investigations in that Constituency can reveal that will take a miracle to enable him win that seat for the NPP.

Mr. Daniel Alabi, Spokes Person for the Concerned Youth Association for Nungua, who addressed a press conference in response to Mr. Agyepong’s declaration of war against Gas,at the NunguaTraditional Authority last Tuesday, demanded that Mr. Otoo, a former Attorney -General and Minister of Justice in the Kufuor regime rendered an unqualified apology to Gas and also withdraw his services to Mr. Agyepong in the terrorism case immediately.

No Kennedy Agyepong, he said they had waited patiently to hear the condemnations of the attrocious declaration from the sitting Ga MPs as well as the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs and the Ga-Dangbe Council, but these were not forthcoming .

‘We are very much suprised that up till date, the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, which is supposed to protect its children has failed to do so ‘ he said

He queried whether it is possible for Mr. Agyepong to go on radio in Tamale, the Northern Regional capital or mount a radio station in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital to declare war against the Dagombas or Ashantis without their respective chiefs rising up against him.

He related that not too long ago, the Asantehene in a swift manner reacted when a chief of a neighbouring town in the Brong Ahafo Region had a problem with a chief under his jurisdiction; Otumfour showed maximum intgerest in the case and had it resolved amicably, but sadly that cannot be said about Ga-Dangbe chiefs.

He further gave the Regional House of Chiefs forty-eight hours to also rise up and show maximum interest in the case, insisting that their failure to do so will incur the wrath of the entire Ga-state.

“We are about to go for another elections to elect our leaders and we are not ready to lose any of our siblings as a result of a declaration of war on one particular ethnic group, since we have brothers and siters in all parts of the country” he said

He called on the government to let the law take its full course to protect not only Gas and Ewes but Ghanaians in general.
