Nyaho: Sekou’s Support For Nana Not Surprising

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has said he is not surprised at all with the seal of approval given the party’s flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo by Sekou Nkrumah, formerly of the ruling NDC.

The move according to the former Ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro, is in line with the latter’s consistency which he has kept clean over the years, and wasn’t the least surprise, adding that, Sekou should rather be encouraged to say it as it is all the times.

“Although his utterances sometimes appear controversial, he is not the type. He speaks his mind freely. This is not common in Ghana. Because of that, people usually don’t understand him. The NPP big shot added that Sekou’s penchant for saying it as it, is a personality model people should get used to, insisting that “it is rare and not the usual conservative Ghanaian type”.

“When you look at the trend of arguments on even his own sister and why he thought had it not been for the name of their father Nkrumah, she wouldn’t have won the CPP seat, and also that on Mills, it can only tell you that he is an objective fellow”.

Sekou’s say-it-as-it-is style is a trait Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe believes; put him in a very good position to become an effective leader in the near future.

“I have carefully listened to him over the years and I believe he can be a good leader, with time. He isn’t doing so because he is desperate. If we can get ten of Sekou’s personality, the constant bootlicking in Ghana, would stop”.
