- Minister Given Ultimatum

The Chief of Staff, Kwadwo Mpiani has directed the Deputy Minster of Works and Housing, Theresa Tagoe to occupy her official bungalow at Cantonments or forfeit it. This follows reports that Ms Tagoe has given her official bungalow to the former Principal of the Trinity Theological College, who she described as a brother.

The Chief of Staff warned that if Miss Tagoe fails to occupy the bungalow within a reasonable period of time, it will be re-allocated to another government official. He said it was unfortunate that after ejecting former government officials from those bungalows and monies spent to renovate them some current Ministers find no problem in allocating such bungalows to their friends, relations and other associates.

Some ministers and other top government officials are yet to be allocated bungalows and Mr Mpiani wondered why others should re-allocate their to others saying that such attitudes cause great embarrassment to government, which the ruling party criticized when it when it was in opposition.
