Organisers of the planned three-day #OccupyJulorbiHouse demonstration, Democracy Hub, have expressed their readiness to engage with the Ghana Police Service on Friday, September 20, 2024, regarding the choice of location for the protest march.
This follows an invitation extended to the group by the police.
According to the Police Service, it is expecting a fruitful engagement with Democracy Hub and will keep the public updated on the outcome of the meeting.
"The police will also give an update tomorrow, September 20, 2024, regarding the security arrangements that have so far been made towards the planned demonstration. In addition, we will share with the public some information that has been gathered in connection with the exercise.
"To help guide our communication with the public in respect of this demonstration, all our updates will be numbered according to the order in which they are released," a statement issued by the Police Service said.
It further assured the public of its commitment to ensuring security, law, and order in the country.
