‘Odo Broni once told Abusuapanyin that Daddy Lumba never married her’ – Jigga

Jigga, a close associate of the late Daddy Lumba’s family, has alleged that the musician’s other partner, Odo Broni, once confessed that he never married her.

Speaking on United Showbiz on December 6, 2025, Jigga, known in real life as Michael Nana Safo Brown, claimed that Odo Broni made this confession to Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu during a conversation.

According to Jigga, he heard this information directly from Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu during a discussion, adding that Odo Broni claimed Lumba was preparing to marry her before his sudden demise.

He said Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu relayed the confession to him after Odo Broni had been questioned by the family head.

“I was sitting with Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu one day when he told me that he asked Odo Broni whether Kwadwo Fosu had married her before his death. According to him, Odo Broni said Lumba never married her.

“She added that Lumba was making preparations to marry her before he died. You can call him and verify if I am lying,” he said.

Jigga further alleged that the elders of the Otumfuo Traditional Council did not explicitly fix December 13, 2025, as the burial date of the late musician, contrary to what Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu had claimed.

“When we went to meet the chief, he suggested that if we couldn’t organise the burial on December 6, then we could hold it on December 13, 2025, or even next year.

“Some people within the family have their own self-interests regarding the burial. The money they claim they paid for the funeral ceremony at Baba Yara is a lie,” he added.
