Odoom launches campaign at Twifo Ntiamoah

Twifo Ntiamoah (C/R) March 5, GNA- Mr Abraham Odoom, Deputy Minister of Health and aspiring Member of Parliament for Twifo Atii Morkwa constituency, on Tuesday launched his electioneering campaign with a promise to contribute to the welfare of the aged when elected. He promised to assist the aged and also contribute 25 electric poles towards an electrification programme.

Mr Odoom, who launched his campaign on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, urged the people to vote for him in the 2008 parliamentary election.

At Twifo Ntiamoah number one and Twifo Ntiamoah number nine communities at separate meetings, Mr Odoom appealed to the people to vote massively for him to enable him work to sustain the gains of the NPP regime. He said infrastructural, social, economic and political development that was taking place in the Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira district were evidence of his good works during his term of office as District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.

Mr Odoom urged the people to vote massively for Nana Akufo- Addo in the presidential election.

He appealed to the people to take advantage of the School Feeding Programme and the Capitation Grant and send their children to school. He urged the people to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme for better health care delivery.

In a related development Mr Samuel Agyeibie-Kessie, the DCE for Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira, said four communities in the area would be hooked to the National Electricity Grid under the Rural Electrification Programme in June this year.

He said Mr Odoom was an asset to the district and urged the people to vote for him in the forthcoming polls.

Mr Agyeibie-Kessie reminded the people that Mr Odoom initiated the Coco Hi-Tech Programme, and many interventions to improve the living conditions of the people in the district.
