The three men arrested by Police for possessing grenades and other explosives are members of the dreadful terrorist group ISIS, Security and International affairs expect Irbard Ibrahim has revealed.
Three men were arrested today, January 15, 2018, at Odorkor by Police from the Odorkor Divisional Command in connection with intercepted explosives.
According to Mr. Irbard, these men are members of Islamic Militant group ISIS and the intercepted explosives could have been used for an attack in isolation or a much more sophisticated plan.
Mr. Irbard also observed that the intercepted explosives are not labelled hence the police may not be able to trace the origin, charging security agencies to carry out a thorough investigation into the matter.
The Chief Executive Officer of Irbard Security Consult also identified the three arrested men as Libyan returnees.
“We have picked up intel that three Ghanaian Libyan returnees have been detained at the Odokor Police Divisional Command with hand grenades.
“A careful look at the seven grenades this consult has seen so far points to the fact that they are military grade MK2 explosives capable of causing damage within a radius of between 150 and 200 meters on impact.”
“Much as this is scary, it should not cause fear and panic within the Ghanaian population. We have gallant men and women in uniform who are working round the clock to keep Ghanaians safe.” He noted.
Mr. Irbard urged the general public to volunteer information to enable the police piece up the on-ongoing investigation.
