Ceaser Ofosu Acheampong is the Offinso North District Chief Executive (DCE)
The Offinso North District Assembly in the Ashanti Region, as of 31st May 2025, mobilised a total revenue of GHC 908,725.12, representing 95.69 percent of the Assembly’s annual projected Internally Generated Fund (IGF) budget of GHC 949,725.50.
The Offinso North District Chief Executive, Ceaser Ofosu Acheampong, made this disclosure during the First Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Offinso North District Assembly.
Although the Assembly made significant progress in the collection and management of the Internally Generated Fund (IGF), the DCE said the Assembly was not relenting in its efforts to vigorously pursue and implement prudent measures needed for higher revenue mobilisation.
On external funding, Acheampong said the Assembly received GHC 14,386,228.25 in actual transfers from the Government of Ghana (GoG).
On Agriculture and Rural Development, the DCE indicated that since agriculture was the backbone of the local economy, their vision was to transform it from a mere way of life into a viable business enterprise.
On education, Acheampong announced that a total of 1,551 candidates across the district wrote the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in five centres in the district.
He added that the Assembly’s investment in the next generation continued through the provision of modern educational facilities.
On the LEAP validation exercise, which took place in the district this year, the DCE disclosed that 1,696 LEAP and non-LEAP households were reassessed and validated in 57 communities by the reassessment team.
He further stated that 160 indigent persons were enrolled in the National Health Insurance Scheme to access healthcare, while Three Hundred and Thirty-Eight Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 338,000) was disbursed to 125 persons with disabilities in the district.
Acheampong therefore appealed to Assembly Members to continue working together as one people with a common goal, respecting divergent views and remaining committed to the development of the district.
