The factory which currently employs some 50 workers will ensure reliable and sustainable supply of aluminium sheets and basins for industrial and domestic buildings as well as provide additional indirect jobs for hundreds of retailers who'll market the factory's products.

Hundreds of party faithful, branch executives and well-wishers gathered at the forecourt of the newly constructed facility to outdoor the 'party's version' of the government's 1 District 1 factory program.

The Honourable Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi who recalled the genesis of the project said he was happily using the benefits of his first term exgratia to establish a proud legacy for Kroboland.

The MP also promised to use benefits of his future ex gratia for similar purposes and expressed his appreciation to the people and labourers who sacrificed their time, resources and energy to put up the facility.

He charged the people to own what he described as their legacy as more of such projects remain in the pipeline.

Whilst commending the Member of Parliament and party executives of the NDC for overseeing the project, Special Guest of Honour and national chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo who sat in for President John Dramani Mahama applauded the MP for the numerous developmental projects he is undertaking in Lower Manya Krobo.

The chairman who described the factory as the first MPs’ 1 constituency, 1 factory project urged for the establishment of beads factories to produce more of the quality beads Krobo beads are known for.

Chairman Ofosu who described Krobos as old allies of the NDC party expressed his appreciation to the people for their immense contribution towards the growth of the NDC and particularly their support for him throughout his political life.

He urged the people not to take advantage of the project but contribute their support towards its expansion.

NDC constituency chairman for Lower Manya, David Walter Homenu took pride in what he described as the NDC's legacy in the constituency.

According to the constituency chairman, the people of Lower Manya Krobo are reaping the fruits of their choice and support for Honourable Okletey Terlabi as their parliamentary representative in 2012 and 2016 and further called on the locals to support the factory.

Mr. Homenu was also hopeful that the facility will provide numerous direct and indirect employment and income opportunities for the youth and women of Kroboland.

Divisional Chief of Dorm, Nene Okpatakpla Sasraku who sat in as Chairman for the occasion described the project as the first of its kind on Kroboland and expressed his appreciation to the MP.

He also hoped that more of such developmental projects will be established on Kroboland.
