Okuapeman Union donates 30 laptops to Presbyterian University

The Okuapeman Union in Sydney, Australia, has presented 30 laptop computers and accessories to the Presbyterian University College, Akuapem campus at Akropong.

The donation formed part of the Union’s commitment to improving education standards in Ghana, particularly at Akuapem and it is the first donation since the establishment of the association.

Mr. Paul Keteku, the leader of the delegation, said globally technology was advancing and so the donation of the laptops was to facilitate the teaching of Information Communication Technology (ICT) to make the products technologically inclined to be relevant in the job market.

He said the association chose the University because of the time tested education excellence of the Presbyterian Church and the impressive performance of the university since its establishment.

Nana Dr. Adjoku Aborah VII, a member of the delegation, recounted success stories of people who went through Presbyterian education system of discipline and hard work and pledged his personal support for the university.

Dr. Frank S. Arku, the Akuapem campus coordinator who received the laptops, said they were overwhelmed with the gesture and appealed to the Association to continue to support the university.
