Okwahuman Europe Conference on development

Brescia-(Italy)--Three-day conference of Okwahuman Europe will be held in London, UK from 10th-13th April, 2009.

The conference, themed “development” will be organized under the auspices of United Kingdom National Okwahuman association and be supervised by Executive Council of Okwahu United Association of North America and Canada.

A statement issued here today, by the interim secretary of Okwahuman Europe, Mr. Kwabena Asante, says highlight of the conference will be the formal elections of the executives to head the European organization.

It says a dinner dance will also be organized and proceeds directed to finance development projects in the Kwahu traditional area.

The association will formally be inaugurated in April 2010, in Amsterdam, under the auspices of Okwahu National association in Holland.

The Okwahu Europe Union’s constitution was recently approved at a conference in Antwerp, Belgium, after a series of meetings in Italy and Hamburg-Germany, which helped to create a common platform, forming the European Okwahu Union.

National Unions of Kwahu Associations in the European Union and Switzerland are expected to send five -delegate each to the conference.

Meanwhile, a five-member delegation of Swiss Okwahuman Association headed by the President, Dr. Abena Agyepong, analytical psychologist, will lead the Swiss Delegation to the conference.

Other members of delegation will be Madam Cecilia Otchere, the association’s financial controller, Mr. Henry Nyarko, Assistant Controller, Mr. Martin Peprah, Organizer, and Mr. Seth Mireku, assistant Organizer.
