Old students of Prempeh College (2002 year group), have donated large quantity of food and other items in support of the upkeep of inmates of the Kumasi Children’s Home.
These included bags of rice, loaves of bread, assorted drinks, edible oil, snacks and toilet roll.
Mr. Ebenezer A. Amankwaah, the President of the Group, said it was to help make things a bit comfortable for the children.
He spoke of the need for everybody to share the responsibility of caring for the needy, the less privileged and the vulnerable in the society.
He pledged regular visits to the Home by the Group to bring a smile to the faces of the children.
Mrs. Mabel Boamah, Supervisor of the Home, expressed gratitude for the gesture, labeling it as a “wonderful show of kindness”.
She added that it was a good example for individuals, other organizations and bodies.
