Accra, July 21, GNA - The Onamroko Adain Family on Wednesday appealed to the Ministry of Land and Forestry to investigate and retrieve parcels of land illegally taken away from them.

Making the appeal at a press conference in Accra, Mr. Daniel Kwafo Quarcoo, Secretary of Onamroko Adain Family accused one Mr. Tetteh Quarcoo for allegedly issuing unauthorised documents and selling family lands and property to unsuspecting developers.

He said the activities of Mr. Authur Hammond Tetteh Quarcoo,

who was 93illegally" posing as Head of the family should be curtailed.

"The action of Tetteh is contrary to a Supreme Court decision which excluded him from holding any position in the family 93, Mr Quarcoo stressed.

He said: 93it is only Nii Jafro Mensah Larkai who is recognised as the substantive Head of the family, after being elected by representatives of the six houses constituting the Onamroko Adain family and any other claimant of that position is an impostor".

The six houses are Naa Ahima We, Naa Momo We, Naa Achaawa We, Naa Ama Botwe We, Naa Anowah We and Naa Tsotsoo We.

Mr. Quarcoo said the family petitioned the Lands Commission not to regard Mr. Tetteh as the family Head and not accept any document with his name and signature as Head of the family but to no avail.

"As far as we are concerned, there is only one Head of the family who deserves to deal with any issue of documentation regarding lands and properties belonging to the family", he added.
