Featuring The Poetry Of Prince Anin-Agyei
Ghanaian poets currently lack venues to promote their work. Where once magazines such as The Legacy and Black Orpheus could act as platforms for new Ghanaian writers, now few such opportunities exist. In an effort to address this problem, One Ghana, One Voice was established as a joint effort by Ghanaian poet and author Julian Adomako-Gyimah and Canadian poet Rob Taylor.
One Ghana, One Voice (www.oneghanaonevoice.blogspot.com) is an online magazine which will feature the poetry of Ghanaian poets and International poets writing on Ghana.
The inaugural issue, which will be published online on March 24th, will profile the work of Prince Anin-Agyei of Achiase, Eastern Region, Ghana. He is the author of the poetry collection "Lyrics Of Kabuto: Collection of African Poems", and has won numerous international poetry awards. A new poet will be profiled every Saturday.
Adomako-Gyimah and Taylor hope that, over time, a community can emerge through and amongst these profiled writers, and that the site can serve as a place where diverse voices from different corners of the world can converge to create a collective image of Ghana.
The magazine is currently accepting submissions for future issues, which can be sent to oneghanaonevoice@gmail.com.
