Kumasi, May 28, GNA - The 'One Touch' Movement, a pressure group that supported Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate in the 2008 general elections, has been dissolved.

Instead, it had been replaced with 'Nana Akufo-Addo for President (NAFOP) in 2012' Movement.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Odeneho Nana Oppong and Mr Joseph Kwadwo Boampong, National Chairman and General Secretary respectively and issued in Kumasi on Thursday. It reminded members that NAFOP had the same objectives and aspirations akin to the 'One Touch' Movement and therefore urged them to take note of the changes and be committed to the aims of NAFOP. The statement appealed to activists and supporters of the NPP who believe in the capabilities of Nana Akufo-Addo of becoming the President of Ghana in 2012 to join hands with the Movement to advance their cause.

It cautioned NPP supporters and the leadership to do away with divisions and remain steadfast towards the party's bid to come back to power since the NPP is the only party to deliver the country from the economic mess.
