One and a half-year-old, seven people killed in gory accident

A gory road accident has led to the death of eight people at Poyentanga, a community in the Upper West Region.

The deceased persons include a one-and-a-half-year-old, Rainbowradioonline.com has gathered.

The vehicle, according to the details available, was loaded from Chripong and headed to Techiman.

Other people also sustained varied degrees of injuries.

The police and emergency service personnel were at the scene of the accident to assist in transporting the injured to the hospital for medical care.

The mortal remains of the deceased persons were also deposited at the mortuary.

Reporting from the scene of the accident on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Nhyiraba Kobby Antieku described the accident as gory, with blood gushing out and all over the scene.

He said the car was attempting to dodge a pothole while on the road but unfortunately somersaulted.

Eight out of the 17 passengers he reported died on the spot, with some losing their legs, hands, and other parts of their bodies.
