Dr. Amo Sarpong fired gunshots after the team was attacked
Information reaching Ghanaguardian.com indicates Policy Analyst of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has fired gunshots at the Golden City Park in Berekum following provocations from the home fans.
According to our reporter, Akakpo Snr Kaikai, Dr Amo Sarpong fired gunshots few minutes to the kickoff of the clash between Berekum Chelsea and Asante Kotoko.
He said Operations Officer of Asante Kotoko, Perugia was attacked by angry fans of the home side for reasons yet to be known.
The Policy Analyst swiftly dived into his car and hurriedly came out with a pistol, firing warning shots in the midst of the confusion.
The chaos resulted in Dr Sarpong being injured; has been rushed to the Berekum Government Hospital for medical attention.
Security officers at the venue have whisked Amo Sarpong to the Berekum Police Station with just some few minutes to the start of the game.
