One hundred and sixty million cedi school commissioned at Enyan Apaa

Enyan Apaa (C/R), Sept. 13, GNA - Mr Emmanuel Basie, Deputy District Co-ordinating Director for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, on Friday commissioned a 160 million cedis school block for the local Methodist Junior Secondary School.

The block comprising three classrooms, office and store was funded through the HIPC fund.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Basie announced that the assembly had plans to construct a 10-seater toilet for the people at Apaa. He expressed concern about the low enrolment of children in schools in the community to reciprocate government's gesture in the provision of educational facilities by enrolling their children in school.

Mr Basie advised parents to be frugal in their expenditure and spend most part of their earnings on their children's education. Mr John Budu, Assemblyman for Enyan Apaa thanked the government for providing then school block and urged the pupils to learn hard to justify the monies spent on the project.

He appealed to the inhabitants to participate fully in communal activities to help raise their standard of living.
