One person has been confirmed dead in a gory accident at Asokwa-Anloga new road in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti region.
Eleven others have also sustained serious injuries and have been rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred when a commercial Nissan bus(trotro) from Anloga Junction to Sokoban wood village with registration number As 1569-Y veered off its lane and went into the opposite side of the road where it collided head-on with two other cars.
The cars are Opel Astra taxi with registration number EA997-13 and a Toyota highlander with registration number AS9170-11, Station officer at the Oforikrom Police Station, Chief Inspector, Agnes Addai told Adehye FM's Elisha Adarkwah.
The accident happened in the morning of Monday, 9 April 2018.
She said a health Insurance card and other identity cards retrieved from the deceased gives his name as Joseph Oduro.
She said the family of the deceased has not come to identify him but the body has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue.
