Agbozume (V/R), Nov. 24, GNA - One suspect has finally been picked up in connection with the bodies of two alleged ritual murder victims found by the police at Agbozume in a shallow grave at Tax Corner, a suburb of Agbozume.

The suspect who was picked up on Tuesday and is now in custody at Keta, was named as Kwame Soglohu, 40, a fisherman of Tax Corner, while two others including Kwasi Nugorli, also of Tax Corner and Horga Tepekportor of neighbouring Kpordoave, also fishermen are yet to be apprehended. The victims have also been identified as Eklu Abortsi, 40 and Midawor Wormenor, 35, both fishermen of Dogbekorfe near Tax Corner. A source close to the Keta Divisional Police said it was becoming clear that the victims were murdered last Sunday while on a night fishing expedition in two creeks, Vinyo and Kadze near Dogbekorfe, a community which is in litigation over the ownership of the creeks with the traditional authorities of Klikor near Agbozume.

The source said the three suspects who constituted themselves into a task force were mentioned as having threatened on Sunday at Dogbekorfe to deal with anyone they would find violating a controversial ban imposed by the Klikor traditional authorities on fishing in the creeks. According to the source the police on Tuesday found the apparels and cutlasses belonging to the two victims as well as a net they laid in one of the creeks and clubs when they visited the area. Meanwhile, the Klikor traditional authorities are said to have invited four other persons they named as the men they organized to provide security by the creek to Keta for interrogation.
